NL- De 87-jarige Torro is tijdens de oorlog tussen Abchazië en Georgië in de jaren negentig naar Georgië gevlucht. Samen met zijn neef en diens vrouw woont hij nu in een huis in een vervallen bergdorpje. Zij hebben nauwelijks eten, geld en warmte en zijn daardoor tot elkaar veroordeeld.
Ondanks zijn eindeloze levenslust, humor en veerkracht, begint de harde werkelijkheid zijn tol te eisen. In Until the quiet comes wisselen tragiek, humor en wodka elkaar af in een verhaal over afhankelijkheid, vergankelijkheid, doorzettingsvermogen en de kracht om te overleven.
EN- The 87-year-old Torro ran off to Georgia during the war between Abkhazia and Georgia in the nineties. Together with his cousin and his wife, he now lives in a house in a dilapidated mountain village. They hardly have any food, money nor warmth and are therefore condemned to each other.
Despite his endless vitality, humor and resilience, the harsh reality is starting to take its toll. Until the quit comes is a film in where tragedy, humor and vodka alternates each othe. A story about dependency, transitoriness, perseverance and the strength to survive.
